Tangalle Private Safari: Bundala National Park

Overview
Your private Bundala National Park safari begins with a hotel pickup in Tangalle at 1:00 AM. You’ll be driven in a comfortable vehicle to the park, arriving around 1:30 PM. Upon arrival, board your private safari jeep for an exciting three-hour wildlife adventure.
Bundala National Park is Sri Lanka’s first Ramsar site and a UNESCO-designated Biosphere Reserve. It features five saltwater lagoons, a low-country dry zone climate, and a rich diversity of flora and fauna. During your safari, you may spot elephants, langurs, pangolins, deer species like sambar and barking deer, wild boars, rusty-spotted cats, jackals, and black-naped hares. The park is also home to both freshwater (mugger) and estuarine crocodiles, tortoises, endemic snakes like the flying snake, and several species of turtles, including globally endangered sea turtles.
Birdwatchers will delight in the nearly 200 bird species found in the park, including migratory greater flamingos, painted and black-necked storks, cormorants, spoonbills, Eurasian coots, and ducks like the lesser whistling duck or garganey.
After the safari, you’ll return to your vehicle for a scenic drive back to Tangalle, arriving around 7:30 PM, concluding a full day of wildlife exploration and nature immersion.
