This carefully designed 5 day journey across Sri Lanka blends cultural heritage, scenic landscapes and coastal relaxation into one seamless experience. Starting from Colombo or the airport, you will travel to the cultural heart of the island, exploring ancient wonders and authentic village life.
On the first day, head towards Kandalama and experience the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress along with the sacred Dambulla Cave Temple. A traditional village tour adds a unique local touch with a canoe ride, bull cart journey and authentic Sri Lankan cuisine.
The journey continues to Kandy, visiting the renowned Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage en route. In Kandy, explore the spiritual Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, enjoy views around Kandy Lake and witness a vibrant cultural dance performance.
Travel onward to the cool hill country of Nuwara Eliya, stopping at lush tea plantations and factories to understand Sri Lanka’s world famous tea production. Visit scenic spots such as Ramboda Falls, Gregory Lake and the charming old post office.
On day four, descend to the southern coast towards Bentota. Optional white water rafting can be enjoyed en route. Experience a relaxing Madu River boat safari through mangroves and visit a turtle hatchery to learn about marine conservation.
