Experience authentic village cooking by using traditional tools and methods, including the Kurahan Gala (grinding mill), Miris Gala (stone grinder), Wangediya (mortar and pestle), and Kulla (winnowing fan). You will also learn how cooking is done over a wood-fired hearth using clay pots, just like in traditional Sri Lankan homes.
Prepare a full Sri Lankan meal featuring rice, chicken or fish curry, dhal curry, seasonal vegetable dishes, and coconut sambol. Finish with a traditional dessert such as watalappan or curd with treacle.
Finally, sit down and enjoy the meal you prepared, served in authentic village style on a banana leaf. Capture your memories with photos throughout the experience and take home a true taste of Sri Lankan culture
