Your day begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Negombo. Sit back and relax during the scenic 5-hour drive to Udawalawe National Park, established in the 1970s to protect wildlife displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir on the Walawe River.

Upon arrival, embark on an exciting safari drive to spot the park’s famous elephant population. Keep an eye out for other native wildlife, including buffalo, wild boar, and sambar deer. As the third most visited park in Sri Lanka, Udawalawe is also home to around 50 butterfly species and a wide variety of birds, making it a paradise for nature lovers.
