Explore Sinharaja Rainforest & Waterfall Experience

Begin your journey from Hikkaduwa with an optional pickup and travel towards the Sinharaja Rainforest, Sri Lanka’s last remaining tropical rainforest and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This experience is perfect for nature lovers, bird watchers, and adventure seekers looking to explore one of the island’s most biodiverse ecosystems.

Your adventure starts at the Lankagama entrance, where you will meet your licensed local guide and begin a guided rainforest walk. The trek takes you through dense jungle trails surrounded by towering trees, flowing streams, and the natural sounds of the rainforest.

As you explore deeper into the forest, you may spot a variety of endemic wildlife including colorful birds, monkeys, butterflies, reptiles, and unique plant species. Your guide will share interesting knowledge about the rainforest ecosystem, medicinal plants, and the importance of conservation.

During the trek, you will also visit hidden waterfalls where you can relax, take photos, or enjoy a refreshing natural bath in cool, clear water. Leech socks are provided to ensure a comfortable trekking experience.
